Addressing the 9th edition of the international conference on “American human rights”, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mohsen Mousavi said the recent assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah was a big loss for the resistance, for Hezbollah and for Islam, but the blood of this martyr will certainly help to strengthen the tree of resistance.
The conference was held in Tehran on Wednesday, focusing on recent regional developments.
What happened after the former secretary general of Hezbollah, Sayed Abbas al-Mousawi, was martyred, he asked.
He noted that not only didn’t it undermine Hezbollah but the movement got more powerful.
Quoting Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei as saying that the loss of a prominent person should not lead to losing hope, the cleric said that one should not worry about the future of the resistance after the martyrdom of Nasrallah.
Mousavi also pointed to the Israeli regime’s atrocities in Palestine and said bombing hospitals, schools, universities and refugees camps shows the desperation of the Tel Aviv regime.

Israel’s attacks come against the backdrop of escalated tensions between the Lebanese resistance movement and the occupying entity, which included the targeted killing of top Hezbollah commanders and the detonation of telecommunication devices belonging to the Muslim resistance group.
Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 7 last year, when it launched a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
